Breast prosthesis


Breast prosthesis is done in different ways, which include:Incision of the crease under the breast, which is the most common type of incision

Cut around the brown halo of the chest.

Cut from the armpit area
Determining the type of incision is at the discretion of the physician.

Allergies to silicon are very rare, but it is possible for anyone to become allergic to any substance on the ground.
People who are not allowed to have a breast prosthesis:
1- People who have a possibility of internal infection in their body.
2- Patients with breast cancer or cancer patients who have not completed their treatment.
3- Pregnant or lactating women
There is no need to change the prosthesis until the prosthesis has a problem or the patient has a problem with it.
According to the FDA, MRI is required every three years to ensure the health of the prosthesis.
Postoperative prosthetic care:
• Visit the clinic 2 days after discharge to change the dressing.
Bath time is 3 days after surgery.
Sutures are removed 10 days after surgery. (If not absorbed)
• Use a special bra for up to 2 months after surgery
• Do not sleep on your stomach under any circumstances. After a week, you can sleep on your side, but the bra should not be removed. The duration of using the bra is 1 month. You can then wear a regular bra. Please use a cotton underwear after removing the dressing.
Swelling and bruising of the operation area is normal for up to 1 month, after which the prosthesis shows its normal shape.
• Anti-scar gel should be used up to 1 month after the operation. How to use: Clean 2 to 3 times a day and 3 hours after each use with cotton and lukewarm water.
• Sexual activity is unrestricted for 2 weeks after surgery.
Avoid strenuous exercise for up to 1 month. Chest movements such as weight lifting and chest pressing are strictly forbidden.
• Sun exposure causes blurring of the operation site. Please avoid sunbathing until it heals (use of solarium is prohibited.)
• It is forbidden to use a spring bra for 3 months after the operation
