ACS (acute coronary syndrome)


Any condition that leads to a sudden decrease in blood flow to the heart is called acute coronary syndrome. Symptoms can range from chest tightness that occurs during a heart attack to chest tightness at rest or during light activity (unstable angina).

The first symptom of acute coronary syndrome can even be sudden cardiac arrest.
If this syndrome is diagnosed in time, it can be treated and depending on the general health status of the patient and the symptoms that appear, there will be different treatments.

Generally, the signs and symptoms of acute Crohn’s syndrome are similar to a heart attack, and if not treated quickly, a heart attack will occur, and therefore it is considered an emergency situation, and since it can be life-threatening, its symptoms should be taken seriously. to be

Feeling of pain, pressure, heaviness or burning in the chest
Nausea, vomiting
Shortness of breath
Excessive and sudden sweating
Feeling lightheaded
Do not drive yourself to get to the treatment center and it is better to have someone else drive you. The signs and symptoms of a heart attack may be different according to age, sex, underlying diseases such as diabetes, etc.

Other symptoms and acute coronary syndrome can include:

stomach ache
heartburn
Headache, confusion, fainting
Unusual weakness and lethargy
feeling restless
moist skin
If you experience chest pain that is recurrent, consult your doctor because these pains may be a form of facial angina.

Stable Angina chest pain

Pain is usually predictable. For example, by walking fast, a person may experience chest pain that disappears as soon as he rests.

Unstable Angina chest pain

This pain is not predictable and may occur while resting. This pain can be more intense than the persistent type. Acute coronary syndrome is usually caused by the formation of plaques in the walls of the arteries of the heart (atherosclerosis). These plaques are formed from the deposition of fat and some other substances in the inner walls of the vessels, and cause narrowing and slowing of the blood flow in them. .

Risk factors in acute coronary syndrome:

These pain factors are common to many cardiovascular diseases: age over 45 years for men and over 55 years for women.
